Halito, Ikana!
Tiffany Desiree, a Seattle-based author baptized into Eastern Orthodoxy in 2025, now weaves her deep spiritual path into her narratives, enriching their depth and direction.

Education & Experience
Tiffany Desiree is a 2012 graduate of Washington State University (WSU), Pullman, where she specialized in creative writing. She completed her degree at the honors level, graduating in the top 3% of her class. During her undergraduate years, Desiree was a prominent figure in the campus literary scene, known for her extensive involvement in spoken word poetry performances. This strong foundation in creative arts and academic excellence significantly informed her later professional work as an author of children's literature and poetry.

Before becoming a full-time writer and homemaker, Tiffany worked extensively in media. Her career highlights include serving as a Public Affairs Reporter for KBCS 91.3 from 2007 to 2010, acting in the film Perjury as Catherine Hall around 2012, and working as a promoter for Movin' 92.5 in 2013. Currently, she also manages the Facebook community page, INFJ - The Outgoing Introvert.
Authored Books
In April 2016, Tiffany released her first children's book: No Peas, Please! Tiffany has been writing her whole life. She currently writes children's books and adult fiction. In December 2017, she released her second book, First Christmas in Fruity Land, A Gift of Giving. In March 2018, she published Fair Day in Fruity Land via US publisher LolliWolliWorld.
In 2018, LolliWolliWorld and Seedling Theatre presented "The First Christmas in Fruity Land, A Gift of Giving," written by Tiffany Desiree. This holiday presentation was directed by Kris Blake (founder of Seedling Theatre Company) and co-directed by Tiffany Desiree (author).

Heritage
In addition to writing about African and Asian elephants, Tiffany delves into her own Multiracial background. She is a multigenerationally mixed individual with Lumbee, Cherokee, Waccamaw Siouan, and Choctaw Indian heritage. Many of her ancestors originated in the West Indies and North America.

DNA analysis showed Tiffany's African ancestry is concentrated in Southern, Eastern, and Northern Africa (including the Horn). Her writing for LolliWolliWorld serves as a bridge to this heritage, especially considering her ancestors were Free People of Color.

Life in Seattle
Tiffany's interests outside of writing include hiking, listening to music, and enjoying the company of her wonderful and supportive husband, Joshua.
